About Aurora Sairin Pearls
The Aurora Sairin Pearl is the highest quality designation for white Akoya pearls smaller than 6mm, as certified by the Pearl Science Laboratory (PSL).
The creation of this special designation has an interesting history. In the year 2000, PSL introduced its grading system, where Aurora Hanadama was established as the top-quality grade for Akoya pearls of 6mm and above. At the time, pearls smaller than 6mm were largely overshadowed by freshwater pearls. However, there existed a small number of exceptionally beautiful 3-4mm Akoya pearl necklaces, showcasing unparalleled brilliance and luster.
When naming this category, the term “Sairin” (彩凛) was chosen to reflect the pearls’ unique radiance. Historically, pearls smaller than 3mm were called “Sairin-dama” (細厘珠) during the traditional Japanese measurement system era. These delicate, shimmering pearls, when strung together in a necklace, create a breathtaking display—a line of pure light along the neckline, exhibiting an elegant and vibrant array of colors.

【Making and Shipping】
All of our items are made and shipped from Japan.
Most items are made to order and will be shipped within 5–7 business days.
For customized items such as made-to-order rings, production may take approximately 3–4 weeks.
Domestic shipping within Japan is via Yamato Transport or Sagawa Express and usually arrives the day after shipping. Please contact us if you'd like to specify a delivery date or time.
International orders are shipped by Japan Post EMS with tracking. Delivery typically takes 1–2 weeks, but delivery times are not guaranteed and specific time/date cannot be designated due to customs and local postal conditions.
【Return Policy】
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery.
Items must be in their original, unused condition with all packaging and accessories intact.
If any items or packaging are missing or damaged upon return, an additional fee will be deducted from your refund.
A standard restocking fee of 10% also applies to all returns.
Although we offer free shipping at the time of purchase, the actual shipping cost incurred will be deducted from your refund unless the return is due to a product defect.

We mainly use Japanese Akoya pearls. We also offer South Sea and Tahitian pearls imported from overseas, all carefully selected for their quality and beauty.
2. Are your pearls real?
Yes. All pearls sold by KOKO PEARL JEWELRY are genuine saltwater pearls. We only use the top 5% of pearls in terms of luster, shape, and surface quality.
3. Are the photos edited or filtered?
No. All product photos on our website are unedited, natural images taken in natural light to reflect the true beauty of each item.
4. Are your products handmade?
Yes. All our jewelry is handmade in Japan by experienced Japanese artisans using high-quality Japanese fittings such as 18K gold and platinum.
5. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide from Kyoto, Japan via Japan Post with tracking. Delivery usually takes 1–2 weeks. Custom-made rings may take 3–4 weeks to produce.
